Hi, I’m Mark Steinlein. I’m a wedding photographer based in Truckee–Tahoe, and I’ve spent over a decade documenting weddings with a focus on honest emotion, movement, and connection. What continues to inspire me is the human side of it all. The quiet moments, the big reactions, and everything in between.

Before photographing weddings, I worked as a skateboard photographer, shooting alongside some of the best athletes in the industry. That background played a huge role in shaping my editorial style today. Working in fast-paced, unpredictable environments taught me how to anticipate moments before they happen and capture them with intention, without interrupting the flow.

I’ve always been an extroverted person who thrives on building real connections with people. That naturally carried over into my work as a wedding photographer. I love getting to know my clients, building trust, and creating an environment where everyone feels at ease. I truly believe those relationships are what allow me to tell wedding stories in a way that feels personal, emotional, and true.

I’m based in Truckee, California, a mountain town that perfectly matches how I like to live. When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll usually find me chasing powder at Palisades, riding mountain bike trails around Truckee–Tahoe, or soaking up time outdoors. That sense of presence and appreciation for the moment is something I bring into every wedding day.
